Lisa Lambert is turning 50 and she's opening her trunk...of songs. Tonight, December 10 at 7pm, Lisa and her guests Jonathan Crombie, David Cromer, Cole Escola, Cady Huffman, Troy Britton Johnson, Beth Leavel, and Greg Morrison visit The Drowsy Chaperone, "Slings & Arrows," "Skippy's Rangers: The Show They Never Gave," and an assortment of her other delightful, sometimes misguided, musical comedy ventures. This concert will be part of the long-running Broadway at Birdland concert series, with all proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Lisa Lambert won the 2006 Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for her work on The Drowsy Chaperone, a musical that played the Toronto Rivoli, Toronto Fringe Festival, Theatre Passe Muraille and Toronto Wintergarden, before moving to the Ahmanson Theater in LA and the Marquis Theatre on Broadway. The show has been produced in England and Japan, and in 2010 a production in Australia starred Geoffrey Rush, who will also star in the film. Lambert co-wrote the songs for the television series "Slings & Arrows," (Rhombus Media for Showcase) which she will be co-adapting into a stage musical for the Stratford Festival in Canada.

Other film and television credits include SKIPPY'S RANGERS: THE SHOW THEY NEVER GAVE (Comedy Network); DO I COME ON TOO STRONG? (BravoFact); GETTING ALONG FAMOUSLY (CBC TV); THE JOE BLOW SHOW (Comedy Network)); PIPPI LONGSTOCKING (Nelvana Ltd.); BLUE (Rhombus Media); HIGHWAY 61 (Rhombus Media); and SKINNAMARINK TV.

Lambert's stage credits include: BIG ROSEMARY (book by Blake Edwards); THE ANT AND THE ELEPHANT (Work Light Productions, NYC); HONEST ED: THE BARGAIN MUSICAL (Poor Alex Theatre, Toronto); AN AMERICAN IN HARRIS (Second City, Toronto); THE IRISH MUSICAL (Rivoli, Toronto); PEOPLE PARK (Rivoli, Toronto); MIRTH (Fringe of Toronto Festival); LEVITY (Fringe of Toronto Festival); AN AWKWARD EVENING WITH MARTIN & JOHNSON (Tim Sims Playhouse).

Upcoming projects include: MISS PETTIGREW LIVES FOR A DAY (a stage musical based on the film, book by Robert Harling).
