LezCab, a non-profit theatre company devoted to creating an accurate and meaningful representation of queer women in order to foster equality and community, will present LezCab Sings the 90s on May 28, 2016 at Le Poisson Rouge.
Join LezCab for a night of 90s pop songs, originated by the ladies who confused our sexuality, performed by today's out queer women. From Britney to Joni, Christina to Melissa, The Spice Girls & more, reminisce about the women who defined the 90s through their music. We guarantee a night of fun and feelings.
Directed by Daniella Caggiano and music directed by Julianne B. Merrill, LezCab Sings the 90s will feature Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening), Joanna Burns, Elizabeth Pryce Davies, Marissa Davis, Holly Marie Dunn, Kristian Espiritu (Here Lies Love), Erin Maya, Andrea Prestinario, and The Mashup Group, with Aury Krebs and Bethany Perkins on backup vocals. Kelly Thomas and Jessie Nelson will complete the band.
Tickets for LezCab Sings the 90s are $15 and can be purchased at www.lpr.com. There is a two-item food/drink minimum. Doors will open at 7:00 pm for an 8:00 pm performance.
Le Poisson Rouge is located at 158 Bleecker Street in Manhattan.
LezCab is led by artistic director Rachel Kunstadt. Board members include Tony Award winning Fun Home writer Lisa Kron, Tony nominated Fun Home star Beth Malone, Hamilton associate choreographer Stephanie Klemons, Jenn Colella, Jenifer Foote, Haviland Stillwell, and Carmel Dean. LezCab previously produced the sold-out Beth Malone: So Far at Joe's Pub in August 2015.
