Acclaimed recording artist Lee Lessack's national CD release tour takes him to Chicago's Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee, tonight, July 12 at 8pm.

Celebrating the great French songbook from an American perspective, Lessack's new recording Chanteur and new concert has earned him accolades the world over. Directed by Tony Award nominee Brian Lane Green, Chanteur celebrates the music of such noted French composers as Michel Legrand, Jaques Brel, Gilbert Becaud and Charles Aznavour.

Chanteur marks Lessack's seventh recording and his fourth solo project. His most ambitious recording to date was 2005's In Good Company, an intimate collection of duets beams of?outstanding performances with music notables such as Michael Feinstein, Maureen McGovern, Amanda McBroom, Ann Hampton Callaway and Stephen Schwartz. Touring extensively to sold-out performances at concert halls across the United States and Europe, this marks Lessack's return to Chicago in several years and a chance to see this wonderful performer and gifted singer in the intimate surroundings of one of the city's premier music venues.

To help perpetuate the American songbook and nurture new talent, Lessack founded LML Music in Los Angeles over a decade ago. "LML Music provides a home for top rated performers who are seeking the warm embrace of a label that cares about their style of music." says Lessack.
