La Mediterranee in Midtown is offering Melange Mondays, an ongoing series of open-mic cabaret, from 9:00pm to midnight on Mondays. The night will be hosted by cabaret singer Jesse Luttrell.

Says Next Magazine of Jesse Luttrell, "the fact that this lovechild of Liza and Liberace is emceeing a night of Broadway standards and heart-melting torch songs at this East Side bar/restaurant is icing on the cake." Admission to Melange Mondays is free. La Mediterranee will offer a prix fix menu until 10:30pm.

Jesse Luttrell will also be performing Thursday, 10/1, at the Triad Theatre, with an evening of burlesque, variety, low-comedy, and over-the-top production numbers. The night will offer special guests Jacquenline Dupree, Poor Baby Bree, and Poppi Kramer, as well as the Bawdy Dancers. The night will also feature the burlesque talents of Layla Lepore, Grace Gotham, Jewel Reebox, Krystal Charms, Ria Rhinestone and Erin Gellgems. All proceeds will benefit Marraige Equality NY, meny.us.

Performing as "Poor Baby Bree," Bree Benton draws on vaudeville and parlor music traditions, incorporating songs and recitations from the 19th century through the 1930s. Her first one-woman show, Weary River, was presented at Don't Tell Mama in 2007-8; her second, I Am Going to Run Away, debuted last March. She has received a Bistro award from Back Stage, a Nightlife award nomination, and a place on Time Out New York critic Adam Feldman's cabaret Top Ten for 2008; she was also the recipient of the magazine's annual special achievement award in 2009. "Poor Baby Bree" has also performed at BAM (in "Laurie & Friends," an evening curated by Laurie Anderson), in the God's Love Will Deliver benefit Folly, and Kenny Melman and Bridget Everett's Our Hit Parade at Joe's Pub. Out of character, Bree recently appeared alongside Julie Halston and Sweetie "as" Susan Strasberg in Tweed Productions' Pic-Up (based on William Inge's Picnic). Poppi Kramer can be found anywhere a living breathing human being will listen. She has been performing all over the the country. Poppi can be seen at "Suddenly Stand-Up" every Wednesday at The Duplex. The show features Poppi as the creator, MC, producer, and booker.
