Kids Performing Who Kare is a non-profit theater organization that raises money for the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital and other Childhood Cancer Support Programs while immersing children and teens of all ages in a professional musical theater experience. This year profits will also help a young boy from Rockville Centre fighting cancer, Dougie Gonzalez.
"It's for a wonderful cause and not only does it incorporate the members of Kids Performing Who Kare, but it incorporates professionals from Broadway shows who are donating their time and are passionate about Kids Performing Who Kare," said Gina Naomi Baez, founder of the theatrical group and director of the concert. The concert will be musically directed by Scott Martin.
A $100 ticket includes the concert, cocktail hour, a three-course sit down dinner, raffles and silent auctions. The evening's emcee will be Darren Raymar, current Principal of Covert Elementary School in Rockville Centre, NY. Guests will enjoy Christmas staples like "O, Holy Night" and "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" as well as Broadway and pop favorites."
