Celebrated vocalist Karyn Levitt will perform WILL THERE STILL BE SINGING? A Hanns Eisler CABARET on Saturday, November 5 at 1 PM at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, New York.

Direct from a sold out performance in the renowned cabaret series at Neue Galerie's Café Sabarsky, celebrated New York soprano Karyn Levitt and the Hanns Eisler Trio, featuring accordionist William Schimmel and guitarist Ira Siegel, led by musical director Eric Ostling, will explore and discover the treasures of Austro-German composer Hanns Eisler who was Schoenberg's student, Kurt Weill's contemporary, and Bertolt Brecht's favorite collaborator.

The text of the songs is by Bertolt Brecht, translated by the renowned Eric Bentley. Bentley adapted the song texts (poems and theater ballads by Brecht) from their original German into English, unlocking Eisler's starkly beautiful songs for English-speaking audiences.

Tickets range from $24- $115 and may be purchased here. Call 212-206-0440 or visit metropolitanroom.com/event.cfm?id=241115 for more information.
