THE VENN DIAGRAMS & CLAY MCLEOD CHAPMAN

Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 PM

This two man modern day cabaret is: Sonny & Cher meets Kurt Weill in a late night uncensored format, blending classic cabaret, modern composition / performance, audience interaction, pop music deconstruction, and comedy. Jeffrey Marsh and Rick Sorkin having been working together since 2001.

Clay McLeod Chapman will present a set-list of short stories, both new and old. Veering off the meandering trail blazed by Southern Gothic stylists such as Flannery O'Connor, Truman Capote, and Carson McCullers, Clay McLeod Chapman strikes out in his own distinctive direction with his tales that pierce the heart and unsettle the mind. He speaks in the voice of the New South, haunted by the past, often uncomfortable in the present, and distinctively, even disturbingly all its own. $12 in advance, $15 at the door
