Julie Atlas Muz, one of the most acclaimed and prolific conceptual performers and choreographers in New York, is set to guest star at the May edition of GOTHAM BURLESQUE, taking place on Saturday, May 7th 9:30PM at the Triad Theater. Pushing the boundaries between performance art, dance and burlesque, Julie Atlas Muz's dark, twisted performances have secured her place in the underworld of the NYC nightlife and performance scene.

Presented by award-winning filmmaker, artist, and producer Gary Beeber, GOTHAM BURLESQUE is an exciting evening of song, dance, tricks and visual treats that plays the first Saturday of each month with a different cast at the intimate Upper West Side venue, offering audiences a taste of a wide range of live entertainments from both established and up and coming performers and acts.

Joining Julie Atlas Muz on 5/7 will be bodacious headliner DeeDee Luxe (who has performed at events with Playboy and Victoria's Secret), the "Danger Dame" Veronica Varlow (also a personal style and seduction coach with her own line of erotic accessories), neo-burlesque performer Nasty Canasta (winner of the first-ever "Most Innovative" award from The Burlesque Hall of Fame), contortionist and trapeze specialist Harvest Moon, and belly dancer Marni Halasa. GOTHAM BURLESQUE is hosted by the "Godfather of New Burlesque" James Habacker as his unforgettable character Mel Frye alongside stage kitten Dangrrr Doll.

Gary Beeber is an award-winning American filmmaker whose documentaries Dirty Martini and the New Burlesque, Bally-Master, and Messenger have screened in over 50 festivals and won countless awards at the FirstGlance Film Festival, the DC Independent Film Festival, the Staten Island Film Festival, and the Coney Island Film Festival. Prior to devoting his energies to documentaries, he was a photographer and producer of art videos which were shown in 70 galleries and exhibitions worldwide, and several of his works are in corporate collections here in the city at Goldman Sachs, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and Chase.

GOTHAM BURLESQUE will play the first Saturday of every month at 9:30PM at the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street), with May's performance taking place on Saturday, May 7th. Tickets are $40 for premium seating, $30 for general seating, and $25 for balcony seating and can be purchased online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com.
