Julian Fleisher & His Rather Big Band COME TOGETHER At Joe's Pub Image

An OG Joe's Pub VIP, Julian Fleisher continues his current crusade to save the world with song, asking not what he can do for his audience but what his audience can do for itself. "Come Together" combines Fleisher's signature, barn-burning covers of contemporary classics, with original tunes meant to illuminate the spaces where change, love, loss and humor overlap with his evangelical belief that the room that sings together, clings together.

With his Rather Big Bang, headed up by music director extraordinaire, Tedd Firth, and featuring the music of Joni, John, George and Julian; Prince, Pink, Porter and Wonder, Julian invites the audience in for call-and-response, back-up vocals, sing-alongs and a one-night-only celebration of getting it together...together.

Singer-songwriter-bandleader-producer-actor-former-writer Julian Fleisher is a genuine multi-hyphenate, the kind of restless creative spirit that people used to call a Renaissance Man. His regular gigs at such stalwart New York venues as Joe's Pub, BAM, Symphony Space, The 92nd St Y and The World Trade Center's Winter Garden led him to start writing his own songs and to collaborating with a host of partners both on and off the stage. He has starred in musicals by Stephin Merritt, David Greenspan and Gabriel Kahane and is at work on his own play with songs, Measure of Success. Julian has sung, written, gigged, produced or appeared with, among others, Molly Ringwald, Martha Plimpton, Isaac Mizrahi, Jennifer Holliday, Lauren Graham, Ana Gasteyer, Nellie McKay, Rufus Wainwright, Mo Rocca, Bridget Everett, Paul Schaefer, Keith Carradine, Joshua Malina, David Rakoff and even Sally Field.
