The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to present celebrated humorist Judy Gold in Jewdy! Jewdy! Jewdy! Ms Gold will play the intimate venue on Sunday, January 10, as well as Mondays,
January 11, 18 & 25. All performances begin at 7pm. There is a $25 cover charge, as well as a $15 food/beverage minimum (a full dinner menu is available.) The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St. (@9th Av), in the heart of New York's theatre district. Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, Judy Gold is best known as the star of the critically acclaimed long-running Off-Broadway hit 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, (2006 Drama Desk Award Nomination, 2007 GLAAD Award Winner). A book based on the show launched in 2007 and was nominated for the prestigious Quill award. Recently, Gold hosted ABC's The View, (where she has appeared numerous times as a guest), and can be seen on Tru TV's The Smoking Gun. In addition, Judy hosted Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time, the 2006 GLAAD Media Awards and for the past ten years, HBO's At the Multiplex with Judy Gold. Her TV specials include a half-hour comedy special for LOGO: Comedy Central Presents Judy Gold, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd Stands Up and Judy's HBO half-hour special (Cable Ace Award). Gold was seen in the smash hit film The Aristocrats, the documentary Making Trouble and HBO's All Aboard. Gold won two Emmy Awards for writing and producing The Rosie O'Donnell Show and was nominated twice for The American Comedy Awards' funniest female stand-up. Other credits: Ugly Betty, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, The View, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Conan O'Brien Show. Gold lives in New York City with her two children.
