Judy Butterfield returns to the Algonquin with her new show, "How Long Has This Been Going On?" on Sunday, November 4 at 8PM.
Following her sold-out debut at New York's prestigious Algonquin Oak Room, Judy Butterfield has been playing to standing room only audiences in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, and Portland with her first cabaret show "Judy Sings Judy: Songs of a Young Garland."
Judy's first CD, "Judy Sings Judy: Live at the Empire Plush Room" was released by the celebrated Broadway label, Fynsworth Alley.
A protegé of Andrea Marcovicci, Judy made her New York debut at the age of fourteen at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention, where she will return Monday, November 5, the night following her Algonquin appearance, to participate in the Gala Opening of the 18th Annual Cabaret Convention where Marcovicci will be receiving the Mabel Award.
Young Judy, a seventeen year old San Francisco native, has just premiered her brand new show, 'How Long Has This Been Going On?' to capacity crowds and standing ovations in a week long engagement at the Empire Plush Room in San Francisco. Directed by Clifford Bell, with musical direction by Ken Muir, this new offering looks at songs of discovering love throughout the Great American Songbook from composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Jerome Kern through Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
