Jorge Luiz Altamirano Takes the Stage at Feinstein's/54 Below

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Jorge Luiz Altamirano in Thoroughly Modern Broadway on Friday, February 23, 2018. Don't miss Jorge as he makes his Feinstein's/54 Below debut, performing fan favorites from contemporary Broadway Musicals including Rent, Finding Neverland, Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen andHamilton! This revue will introduce the audience to the newest characters and songs from recent and current shows being performed on the Great White Way! Musical Direction by Phil Kadet.

Phil Kadet is a pianist, singer, producer, music director and composer based in New York City.

He is a seasoned solo performer and is currently resident pianist and singer at Da Marino in Times Square. During his time in Paris, he was resident pianist at Club Rayé.

With his synth-pop trio Exotik Robotz, he recently produced a 10-song LP, "Supernovae", investigating the juxtaposition of man & machine. He is the keyboardist for Escaper, a space-rock spy-funk outfit recently profiled in Relix magazine as one of the top bands to watch in 2018. He is a member and sideman for Rockaway Beach's Indaculture, winners of the Coney Island Mermaid Parade's Best Music, and folk-rock legends The Brothers Yee.

As a composer, he recently debuted Renascence, a setting of the epic lyric poem by Edna St Vincent Millay. He is currently developing a musical with playwright and composer Jerome A. Parker.

He has spent the last five summers as a collaborative pianist and performer with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival on the Big Island, recently music directing Val Underwood'sA Night at the Stork Club. He is also a frequent music director with Waimea's Kahilu Theatre and director Beth Dunnington, in such productions as 2016's Grease and 2017'sThirteen.

He is excited to perform once again with Jorge Altamirano, a long time and favorite collaborator, with whom he has music directed and performed a long string of hit shows.

Jorge Luiz Altamirano is a first generation American of Mexican descent. He studied Vocal Performance at the University of Arizona where he was awarded a full Academic Scholarship for Excellence, at the age of 17. He has performed internationally in Mexico and London, England, as well as throughout the southwest region, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico.

Most recently Jorge has performed in cabaret shows to sold out crowds and packed houses, including Joe's Pub, Metropolitan Room, Don't Tell Mama and The Duplex.
