Lyricist Jordan Beck will bring an evening of his work to NYC for one night only on July 22nd at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. The concert will feature his work with composers Jonathan May (with whom Beck recently released an album entitled "Cousins: The Songs of Beck & May"), Jason & Nolan Livesay, and Taylor Peckham.
Jordan Beck is an alumni of the Johnny Mercer Songwriter's Project at Northwestern University. His work has been seen at The Kennedy Center as part of ASCAP's Broadway Today and Tomorrow Series as well as last year's ASCAP/DreamWorks Musical Theatre Workshop.
The concert will feature performances by Dan Domenech (Broadway's Rock of Ages), Hannah Elless (Broadway's Godspell, Somewhere In Time @ Portland Center Stage), Victor Hernandez (Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde), Isaac James, Destiny Lofton, Katherine McLaughlin, Aleks Pevec (Broadway's Evita, Catch Me If You Can), Ian Michael Stuart, Michael Taglieri (Witness Uganda), Branch Woodman (Broadway's Cinderella, Bye Bye Birdie), and Jaidyn Young (Broadway's Annie).
J. Scott Lapp (Somewhere In Time, Murder For Two, Secondhand Lions) will direct with musical direction by Emily Croome.
"The Lyrics of Jordan Beck" will play The Duplex Cabaret Theatre on Monday July 22nd @ 7:00PM.
