Join CastAndLoose Live! for its 7th full-length installment to present CastAndLoose Live! Not So Buenos Aires on Monday, January 29th, 2018 at 7:00pm at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street, NYC. Run time is approximately one hour. Tickets are $20 and are available at https://www.publictheater.org/reserve/index.aspx?performanceNumber=36591

In October 2017, CastAndLoose and Lauren Villegas of Project Am I Right teamed up with The New Ohio Theatre for a night of laughs, groans, music, and advocacy, in response to casting controversies surrounding productions of Evita, and In The Heights. Thanks to popular demand, and armed with new material, this evening we happily present you with an encore performance of CastAndLoose Live! Not So Buenos Aires.

Based on Lynne Marie Rosenberg's tumbr, CastAndLoose, CastAndLoose Live! features stars of stage and screen reading verbatim from Lynne's collection of offensive, real casting notices. Such as:

[ LATINO MAN ] Male, 50s, Hispanic. A chubby mechanic who can do authentic snoring.
[ GABRIELA ] ...Beautiful, Sexy, Busty. She is referred to as "Busty Gabriela." Spanish Accent a Plus.

This evening, we will additionally hear the world premiere of pieces written in response to these breakdowns, by playwrights from the Latinx community.

Proceeds from the show will go to The Latinx Theatre Commons. Come laugh at the problem while funding the solution.

Written and hosted by Lynne Marie Rosenberg (High Maintenance), directed by Jenn Haltman (Summertime), and featuring* Jorge Chacon (Mobile Shakespeare Unit, Romeo & Juliet), Gilbert Cruz (Sex and the City), Annie Henk (That's What She Said), Lauren Villegas (Spamilton), and more to be announced!

Plus world premieres of original work by Matt Barbot, Alex Beech, Hilary Bettis, Diana Burbano, Guadali?s Del Carmen, Migdalia Cruz, Brian Herrera, Christina Nieves, and more!
