Landmark on Main Street and the Port Washington Public Library are excited to welcome back Port Washington native JEANINE TESORI who written four Tony-nominated scores for Broadway: Twelfth Night; Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change; and Shrek the Musical. Her 1997 Off-Broadway musical, Violet, opened on Broadway this spring, starring Sutton Foster, and has garnered four Tony Nominations including Best Musical Revival. Jeanine will be interviewed by playwright and writer/producer Diana Son.
Spotlight Gala '14 with Norm Lewis | Sat, Nov. 8, 2014 | 7 PM
Landmark on Main Street's Spotlight Gala '14 will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 7 PM. This year's Spotlight will shine on our honorees Bruce W. Migatz, Albanese & Albanese, LLP and Steven Katz and Jeffrey Schor of PM Pediatrics. The evening includes a concert starring Norm Lewis followed by a beautiful reception in the tented Spotlight Club. Norm Lewis made history as the first African American 'Phantom' in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. He was recently seen as Senator Edison Davis on the ABC drama Scandal. Norm received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for his performance as Porgy in the Broadway production of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. Other Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, LES MISERABLES, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon, and The Who's Tommy. His one-man concert in Lincoln Center's 2014 American Songbook series was reviewed to be "... everything a leading man with a mighty voice should be" by the New York Times.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are the Tony-nominated songwriters of Broadway's A Christmas Story, The Musical.
