IHI Therapy Center, NYC's leading psychotherapy center for the LGBTQ community, has announced its cast for their Broadway Cabaret Gala: A Modern Love, which will take place on Monday, November 10th, 2014, at The Out NYC Hotel (510 W 42nd st). For tickets and more info visit www.ihi-therapycenter.org, call (212) 243-2830 or email ihicenter@gmail.com.

The A Modern Love cast, Jennifer Mudge (Rocky, Into the Woods), Anita Gillette (Cabaret, Gypsy), Arbender Robinson (Les Miserables, Beautiful the Carole King Musical), James Brown III (Rocky, The Color Purple), and Lucas Papelias (ONCE the musical), will perform a love song laden cabaret to benefit IHI, and to celebrate modern marriage and the launch of Mark O'Connell's book Modern Brides & Modern Grooms. The wedding-themed gala will be hosted by the fabulous Miss Perfidia, and followed by the musical stylings of DJ duo AndrewAndrew, open bar, glittery wedding cake, passed hors d'oeuvres, a complimentary, signed, hardcover copy of Modern Brides & Modern Grooms, and A Modern Love Surprise! All performers are subject to continued availability.

In 1973, IHI Therapy Center, formerly known as The Institute for Human Identity (IHI), spearheaded the campaign to remove homosexuality as a mental illness classification from the DSM -- the American Psychological Association's industry-standard reference book of mental disorders -- and we have been fighting for the mental health rights of our community ever since. IHI's mission is to offer individually tailored, high quality psychotherapy, and we welcome everyone without regard to cultural, sexual, or gender orientation. Our skilled therapists are screened for their sensitivity to people of varied backgrounds and life experiences. With an awareness of the critical need for culturally competent mental health care, IHI is dedicated to training its therapists to provide therapy services that affirm LGBTQ identities, integrate these experiences, and support the development of pro-active coping mechanisms for minority stress.

Sherri Eden Barber, Director; Doug Silver, Musical Director; Lily Padilla and Tegan Ritz McDuffie, Producers, Mark Van Hare, Sound Designer; P. Tyler Britt, Stage Manager.

A Modern Love Cabaret is sponsored by Atlantis Cruises, MillerCoors, Barefoot Wine and Bubbly, Robert Lombardo, Lynx Ensemble Theater Company, & And She Bakes.
