The International Thespian Society's second annual New York Alumni Council event, Broadway Back to School, is a benefit to support theatre education for underserved students taking place September 26 at Feinstein's/54 Below. The evening will be co-hosted Hunter Bell ([title of show], Found) and Susan Blackwell ([title of show], Birdman, P.S. I Love You, Margot at the Wedding).

This fun-filled, fast-paced evening is open to all to celebrate the theatre arts and all the young people whose dreams, talent and energy make theatre possible. It is a chance to catch up with Thespian friends and meet the movers and shakers in the theatre education community.

Broadway and television star Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress, Glee, The King and I), 2015 Jimmy Award winner Marla Louissaint (Caroline, or Change, Encores!), Julia Murney (Wicked, Lennon, The Vagina Monologues, and Drama Desk nominations Falling and The Wild Party), Carla Stickler (Wicked), and Tony Award-winning and Pulitzer Prize-nominated author Stephen Karam (The Humans, Sons of the Prophet) ), and Graham Rowat (Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls, LoveMusik, Dracula) headline Broadway Back to School 2016's list of artists.

"Having the opportunity to experience theatre in school changes lives," said Educational Theatre Association's (EdTA) Executive Director, Julie Cohen Theobald, "and with the help of theatre enthusiasts, we're working to help more students have the experience of feeling accepted, valued, and part of something larger than themselves."

Sponsors include Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Broadway League, ITS alum and co-host Hunter Bell, the Frederic R. Coudert Foundation, Walt Disney Imagineering - Creative Entertainment, ITS alum Mark Drum, Hilton Hotels, Music Theatre International, and Playbill.

Seating is limited; tickets are available online.
