Jeffry Denman Hosts Benefit UKE NIGHT At Birdland  Image

Uke Night is back! The third installment of the musical evening devoted to the Ukulele created and hosted by Jeffry Denman, (multi-Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Astaire Award nominee and Bistro Award winner, star of Irving Berlin's White Christmas on Broadway and last year's Kid Victory at the Vineyard Theatre) as part of Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland series. Uke Night will be presented at 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 16th in the brand new Birdland Theatre under the main room at the "legendary jazz corner of the world."

Appearing with Denman are Spencer Moses (School of Rock), Evie Dolan (School of Rock), concert and Cabaret star, Klea Blackhurst, Andrew Swackhamer (Starbird & the Phoenix), Jazz Ukulele Artist Paul Hemmings, Jazz Ukulele Artist Gracie Terzian, Ryan Farnsworth (Beautiful, National Tour), Cabaret artist Hannah Rose with special guests: Matthew Greer (The Real Thing, Cabaret), Lauren Wright (Mamma Mia, National Tour), Tessa Grady (Dames at Sea), tap dancer Dewitt Fleming (Cotton Club Parade, Scottsboro Boys, Signature).

Uke Night is an eclectic group of talent playing a wide range of music all featuring the Ukulele. Some of the songwriters and artists represented on Oct 16th will be Sara Bareilles, Punch Brothers, Nickelcreek, Amy Winehouse, Duke Ellington, Moxy Fruvous, Ingrid Michaelson, The Beach Boys, Whitney Houston and more.

Tickets are $20 - $30 with a $10 food/drink minimum per person.
