Jeff Harnar, one of the most celebrated performers of the American Popular Songbook, will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre in the show "Does This Song Make Me Look Fat? (Lighter Fare for a Winter Night)" for four shows at 7:00 PM: Monday nights from January 14 to 28 and then Friday, February 8. When Harnar first emerged in the 1990s, The New York Times called him "the most important new male cabaret performer since Michael Feinstein." Liza Minnelli raved "Jeff performs with a joy that can only be called true style." Harnar recently was
awarded the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award, as well as two MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) Awards and three Back Stage Bistro Awards.
This new show - featuring Music Director Lawrence Yurman on piano, Jered Egan on bass and Ray Marchica on drums - will highlight the wit of Noël Coward, Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn, Comden & Green, Tom Lehrer, Allan Sherman, Stan Freberg, Rick Crom, Larry Kerchner, Francesca Blumenthal and more.
