FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Rehearsal Webseries in Concert. Jaclyn Bethany, Dalal Bruchmann are proud to bring their celebration of New York jazz in conjunction with the upcoming release of the Broadway-centric show. Music inspired by The Rehearsal will feature Cole Porter tunes, jazz classics, original music by Dalal & friends + an exciting preview of the film. The cast includes Caitlin Carver (I Tonya), Rileigh McDonald (title role in Matilda), Tina Benko (The Crucible, The Public's Julius Caesar), Adam David Thompson (Godless, Mozart in The Jungle), James Udom (Mies Julie) , Alex Hurt and Shay Lee Abeson. Jaclyn Bethany is an actress, filmmaker, and performer - a recent graduate of the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory with an M.F.A. in Directing. She is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. With her company BKE Productions, she has produced numerous short films including Olivia Martha Ilse starring James Frain and Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard, Between Departures, Sunday Tide starring Sorcha Groundsell, The Last Birthday featuring Anna Popplewell and Gus Barry, among others. As an actor she has appeared in the feature films Miles, I Saw The Light, Worry Dolls, Miles and several festival favorite short films. Her first feature Indigo Valley in which she directs and stars is currently in post-production. Her work has screened at festivals and venues worldwide. She also recently wrapped h new digital series The Rehearsal set in the New York Theatre world with an all-star cast, both projects are to be released in 2019.
In addition to AFI, Ms. Bethany holds a B.A. in Acting from Fordham University, an M.A. in Screenwriting from The London Film School. Her AFI thesis film, The Delta Girl set in 1964 Mississippi stars Isabelle Fuhrman, Caitlin Carver, and Ashley Bell and is currently on the festival circuit.
Her theatre credits include a UK touring production A Bright Room Called Day by Tony Kushner, a workshop of Adam Rapp's Red Light Winter, A Map of Virtue directed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon and the title role of Anna in Anna Karenina at The Arcola Theatre in London. She is also the co-editor of online female arts-driven publication Constellation, where she curates an ongoing female filmmaker portfolio.
Influenced by Beethoven, Prince, Kylie Minogue, and Celine Dion Austrian born Dalal Bruchmann's music has pushed her to the forefront of up and coming pop artists. Her Debut Single "Taste the Night" reached #5 on the Billboard Breakout Charts, #7 on the UK Club Charts and #8 on the UK Pop Commercial Charts. Apart from her pop career, Dalal is an equally talented classical composer.
Dalal moved from New York City, where she began her musical career in the United States, writing and recording her Debut Single "Taste the Night" to Los Angeles, where she is currently finishing up her debut pop album while also writing contemporary songs and orchestral scores for motion pictures and releasing stand-alone singles. In the meantime, she finished her BA Honors degree at London Middlesex University. Dalal's second single "Suddenly" received radio play in the US, Australia, the UK, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Christmas 2014 she released a German- English Version of "Once Upon A December" for which she received great reviews.
After her move to Los Angeles Dalal teamed up with Producer Nate "Impact" Jolley and they formed DALAL AND THE IMPACT BAND. Shows at the HOUSE OF BLUES (LA), the WHISKY A GO GO (LA), Red Bull/Servus TV (Austria) as well as the BMI Acoustic sessions and various Radio Shows followed. 2014 she was brought on board to score the documentary "HAIR" which went on to win BEST DOCUMENTARY at the IFS Film Festival. Out of this documentary, the credit Song "Superman" received great recognition with its own nominations for BEST SONG FOR A DOCUMENTARY and was subsequently released as a stand-alone Single and was picked up by Radio Stations in Ireland, England, and Scotland.
Dalal performed with Nate "Impact" Jolley, concert pianist Elaine Kwon and cellist Gjllberta Lucaj at the Barbados Music Festival Classical/Pops. On October 13th, 2017 Dalal's contemporary classics EP "The Quiet Heart" celebrated its worldwide release with The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music.
