The annual Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest (formerly the Australian Cabaret Showcase) is pleased to announce a stellar panel of judges, for the largest cabaret contest in Australasia. The panel will consist of some of the most respected entertainment industry professionals and producers from across Australia and New Zealand. Judges will act as both the selection committee for entrants to the contest, as well as at each live heat and final being held throughout January.

Judges include acclaimed television personality and International Cabaret Contest patron David Campbell, Artistic Director of Brisbane's Powerhouse Kris Stewart, Co-Artistic Directors of The Melbourne Cabaret Festival David Read and Neville Sice, producer Lisa Campbell, actress Delia Hannah, Agent Les Solomon, Chairperson of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Frank Ford, Artistic Director of Harvest Rain Theatre Company Tim O'Connor and entertainer Libby O'Donovan.

Patron David Campbell said, "The Cabaret Showcase has been growing year after year, but 2013 looks to be the most exciting yet. I have had the joy of being associated with it for many years and to see the progress of its winners - on TV, in musical theatre, with their award winning podcasts and sell-out international shows."

2014 Grand Finale judges will include Adelaide Cabaret Festival Producer Torben Brookman, Noosa Long Weekend Festival Artistic Director Ian MacKellar, Entertainment Producer of Slide Lounge Jeremy Brennan, and Ballarat Cabaret Festival Director Graeme Russell.

Contest Executive Producer Jeremy Youett said, "This year boasts a line-up of some of the most respected and iconic leaders of the Australian and New Zealand cabaret communities alike. Together with a collection of previous contest winners returning as hosts and some surprise guest artists at every stage, this year is sure to present some of the most exciting competition in the history of the contest!"

Heats of the annual event run from Monday 6th through Tuesday 14th January in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland, with the Grand Finale returning this year to The Basement in Sydney, on Friday 17th January. Previous winners including Amelia Ryan, Angela Harding, Bradley McCaw and Gillian Cosgriff will host the Australian contest heats, with acclaimed chanteuse Helen Medlyn stepping up to host the first ever heat in New Zealand. Previous winner Sheridan Harbridge will delight audiences at the Grand Finale.

An incredible prize package is once again on offer for the contest winner, with principal support from the Dobell Foundation making possible a $1000 cash prize, as well as flights and accommodation for the winner to travel to the United States to perform at The 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The Cabaret Festivals of Adelaide, Melbourne, Ballarat, Queensland and the Noosa Long Weekend Festival will also guarantee flights, accommodation and presentation of the winners solo show at their respective 2014 Festivals.

This year's competition is open to performers 18+, although performance spots in the heats are limited; Submissions close 27 December and performers of all experience levels are encouraged to enter.
