The Iridium Jazz Club has announced that the Pee Wee Ellis All-Star Band, featuring Jimmy Cobb, Mulgrew Miller and Ron Carter, will be appearing from April 21st through April 25th.

The career of ALFRED ' PEE WEE' ELLIS has spanned many years and many styles of music. Key in the creation of 'funk', Pee Wee actually 'grew up' in the East Coast jazz scene of the 1950s and early 60s in New York and Miami.

He is now excited to be returning to New York City for an engagement with his longtime friends Ron Carter, (they first played together in Rochester's famous Pythodd in 1957) Jimmy Cobb and Mulgrew Miller.
