New York City's own Lina Koutrakos and the Low Country are an Adult contemporary, Southern Rock band with a definite urban accent! Koutrakos- a sophisticated rocker with a heart full of soul- mixes her southern upbringing with drummer Dan Grosses Georgia roots to write blues based rock songs that she delivers with as much power and panache as you might expect with all her awards and rave reviews.

The band features Lina Koutrakos as Lead Vocal, Rob Simpson on Bass, Ted Stafford on Acoustic Guitar, Greg Pliska on Keyboards, Dan Gross on Drums, and Jean Pierre Perreaux on Electric Guitar.

Koutrakos, New York City's MAC Award winner for Best Artist of the Year 2007, along with her musical and hard hitting band, put on one hell of a live performance. Rock and Roll's 'Bible'-Billboard Magazine-says 'This woman is the real thing'.....'The best blues/rock east of New Orleans'. The New York Times says 'Her emotional strength is embedded in a singing with a defiant rock edge' and The Village Voice adds 'When she sings a song it stays sung'.

For the next four months Lina Koutrakos and the Low Country will be doing two shows a night at the legendary Iridium. The band will be rocking Times Square the third Tuesday of every month.
