In addition to St. Patrick's Day, let's all be Irish tonight, September 2nd, and celebrate the crossroads of Ireland and Broadway!
That's the night that a grand combination of Irish stars and Irish songs from Broadway shows will prove, beyond any doubt, the enormous historical impact of the Irish on New York musical theater.
Hear great songs from Broadway shows like "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" from Isle O' Dreams (1912), "How Are Things in Glocca Mora" from Finian's Rainbow (1947), and "Falling Slowly" from Once (2012). And be entertained with performances by some of New York's greatest Irish Broadway and Nightclub Stars. It's going to be a special night of tribute to the great people of Ireland who brought their passion, their talent, and their music to Broadway.
Starring:
Alan Gillespie - (Miss Saigon, Showboat, The Who's Tommy)
Danny Gardner - (Radio City Summer Spectacular, Dames at Sea)
Mary Deady - (Irish Arts Center, Irish Rep, etc.)
Brian Charles Rooney - (The Three-Penny Opera, concert artist)
And more to be announced!
Produced/written/directed/hosted by Scott Siegel, creator of more than 200 major concerts across the country, including The Broadway by the Year series at The Town Hall, and producing/writing/directing for Michael Feinstein at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
