ABOUT THE FASHION SHOW KYOTO DREAMS......
"A beautiful, but lonely, Japanese girl seeks to find the meaning of her existence and questions how to find true happiness. As she pray before the feet of a large stone Buddha, a torrential springtime rain occurs.
Skies grow dark, thunder crashes, and the wind whips; frightening her enough to flee for home. While en route, she is unable to see her way. On the muddy path, she suddenly falls and is knocked unconscious. As she lies there, the storm slowly passes. But then her dreams magically come life and she sees herself a vision! In her dream, many things are revealed as the budding trees begin to move, birds create a symphony and mounds of cheery blossoms awakened from the ground proceed to dance around her.
During this "earth awakening" moment, enlightenment is then found at a wishing well she sees herself peering into, displaying her real Zen. Her life is never the same after!"
Over the past 20 years, House of Roderick has been doing much more that just making alluring, elegant couture jewelry to famous people worldwide. They have been quietly hard at work becoming instrumental in seeking out talented individuals on the horizon and providing them encouragement, experience, growth and promotion among the creative industries to help further stimulate their knowledge and careers.
House of Roderick of New York, in many respects, has become a humanitarian mission among the gathering up serious-minded, hard working artistic youths of our city; while at the same time noticing/aiding various local charities that stand in great need today.
Since September 2012, Roderick A. Gunsell, the creative director at House of Roderick, began pondering on how to make his fashion company just a little more unforgettable in NY FASHION WEEK, and more helpful to the community. He starting posting ads, interviewing and drawing together aspiring talented individuals from all walks of life, social classes and ages to encourage them about getting serious about following their dreams via our support, guidance and our promotional power.
