Cherry Pitz is stranded at an airport in Wichita with Del Griffith and unable to make this month's Hotsy Totsy, but no fear the show will go on! Ferris Bueller (Handsome Brad) has been pulled off a parade float to host the show along with his buddy Cameron Frye (Brief Sweat).
Every year, Ferris takes a day off with Cameron - trying against all hope to cheer him up, perhaps the shaking and shimmying at The Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen Women will finally be the thing that makes Cameron crack a smile. If that doesn't work, they can always prank call Principal Rooney.
Hosted by Handsome Brad
Performances by Apathy Angel, Beelzebabe, Brief Sweat, Francine The Lucid Dream (producer of The Pink Room), Matt Knife (producer of the Stonewall Inn's Homo Erectus) & Plucky Charms.
With cosplayer Gogo Incognito keeping everything neat and tidy and Tiger Bay shaking it for your gogo viewing pleasure.
Following on the footsteps of Hotsy Totsy Burlesque's successful Harry Potter, The Big Lebowski, Mad Men, Doctor Who and Star Wars 1978 Holiday Special tribute shows, Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark present a burlesque tribute to the iconic films of the late, great John Hughes. He directed or scripted some of the most successful comedy films of the 1980s and early 1990s, including the comedy National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), the coming-of-age comedy Sixteen Candles (1984), the teen sci-fi comedy Weird Science (1985), the coming-of-age comedy-drama The Breakfast Club (1985), the comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), the romantic comedy-drama Pretty in Pink (1986), the romance Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), the comedies Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) and Uncle Buck (1989), and the Christmas family comedy Home Alone (1990). So much material, it's just ripe for a burlesque tribute! Hotsy Totsy Burlesque is New York's only episodic, monthly burlesque show featuring a different script each month and a rotating cast. Hotsy Totsy is a high camp soap opera featuring some of the best burlesque talent New York has to offer.
Once a month you are invited to the basement of The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women. The residents of the home need money to keep their hotel open and to buy G-strings and glitter. Sadly, the shows have had their technical difficulties and in the past as they've had to combat, zombies, gangsters, human-animal hybrids, televangelists and snake oil salesmen. The performers promise you beautiful, clothing-averse women, lots of laughs, spinning tassels, and flying underpants. So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home For Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is "We've fallen, we can't get up, and we like it that way!"
