Tonight, October 5, 2012 at 8pm, The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) will be celebrating the best of Broadway with their annual cabaret show "On Broadway," and it will be one of their biggest line-ups to date!
As the Hoboken and Hudson County theater community may have heard by now, TTC is going on an extended hiatus, so this will be their last cabaret production for a while. Producing Artistic Director David Zimmerman notes that, “while it is with a heavy heart the company has to take a break, we won’t let it interfere with our ability to put on a great show with lots of fantastic singing and celebration!”
"On Broadway" will include musical accompaniment by Zimmerman alongside TTC performers:
Eric Anderson
Kristy Asriyan
Julia Biera
Cassidy DeSchryver
Walter Free
Samille Ganges
Christine Goodman
Clara Barton Green
Summer Dawn Hortillosa
Clarence Ilanan
Matthew Levine
Margaret Leone
Muslimah Mays
Nicholas Mindos
Judith Moss
Jason Pumarada
Charlotte Vaughn Raines
Michael Rayna
Steven Slatten
Adena Weisholtz
These great performers will be performing hits from Broadway shows like CHESS, MEMPHIS, STORY OF MY LIFE, LES MISERABLES, THE LAST 5 YEARS, THE APPLE TREE, THE BOOK OF MORMON, AIDA, and so much more!
There is a suggested donation of $10, but as Zimmerman says, “no donation is too small... or too large! Proceeds from this event will go toward funding our performances of Richard O’Brien’s THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW later this month.” TTC suggests that you order tickets in advance to guarantee your seats as this event generally sells out, and with the knowledge that this will be the company’s last cabaret for a while, they expect the house to be packed.
The event takes place one night only tonight, October 5, 2012 at 8pm at TTC's Studio - C413, Monroe Center for the Arts, 720 Monroe, St., Hoboken, NJ. $10 suggested donation. Credit card: www.brownpapertickets.com/event/279924 - checks or cash only at the door.
