Monday, October 18 at 10:30pm marks the return of one time Tony-eligible (and now out-of-work) actor Andrew Kober's totally self-indulgent one man show, KOBERET. After storming Joe's Pub in February, KOBERET now comes to an exciting new downtown NYC venue: (Le) Poisson Rouge.

Just back from his West End engagement as Margaret Mead in the critically-acclaimed revival of Hair, Broadway's most famous hetero drag queen will once again publicly muse on his life so far...because no one else will. The new and improved KOBERET will feature some of the songs and stories that made February's show a sold-out spectacle, but offers a few new tunes and tales that make it worth a second visit. (We promise.)

This event brings back together the creative team behind New York's first KOBERET: director David Ruttura, music director Matt Hinkley, and producer jokr productions (Joey Oliva & Katie Riegel), in association with Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records' Noah Cornman.

Perhaps just as well-known in the New York theater community for his Twitter following as his performance in Hair, Kober is once again offering an online contest to allow one and all to help choose a song for him to perform. (Kober's performance of February's winning song, Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W76vHJ-rsRc) Over the past few weeks, fans were again asked to submit song suggestions via Twitter, and the most popular ideas will now be put to a vote. Voters can participate by emailing their pick from the song list below to koberet@jokrproductions.com or tweeting to Andrew via @andrewkober (www.twitter.com/andrewkober). The winning song will be revealed the evening of the show. The song choices are:

- "In the Heights" from In the Heights
- "Fuck You" by Cee-Lo
- "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga
- "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot
- "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin

Andrew Kober grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio where he was forced to join the Drama Club by his 6th grade girlfriend. After getting his BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University, he joined the First National Tour of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. He made his Broadway debut in the Original Cast of the Tony-Winning Revival of HAIR. With HAIR, he's performed on The Tony Awards, The View, Good Morning America, The Early Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Carson Daly's Times Square New Years Eve, and the last two Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades. This year, he made his West End debut in the London production of HAIR. Kober can be heard on Ghostlight Record's Grammy-nominated cast recording of the new Broadway cast of HAIR.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door, and are available now online at lepoissonrouge.com: http://lepoissonrouge.com/events/view/1581. (Le) Poisson Rouge is located at 158 Bleecker Street, NYC.
