Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond, including four-time Tony nominee Gregg Edelman, SAG Award winner Bryan Batt, actress Molly Ringwald, BACKSTAGE, award-winner Amber Martin, Tony nominee Andrea McArdle, Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris, singer Alexander Sage Oyen, composer David Friedman and more!

Gregg Edelman, Jan. 14 at 7PM:
Four time Tony nominee Gregg Edelman sneaks downstairs on his off night from The Mystery of Edwin Drood (playing upstairs at Studio 54), for two special performances in celebration of all things Broadway. With fourteen Broadway shows to his credit, including Les Miserables, Cabaret, City of Angels, Anything Goes, 1776, Passion, Into the Woods, Wonderful Town and Falsettos, Gregg knows from a showstopper or two! Bryan Batt, Jan. 14 at 9:30PM:
Television audiences know him from his two-time SAG Award-winning performance as Salvatore Romano on the critically acclaimed television series, Mad Men. But New York audiences have been delighting in Darius's performances for decades, including his work in Jeffrey, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, Starlight Express, Joseph..., Sunset Boulevard, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Seussical, as well as his hilarious long run in Forbidden Broadway. Molly Ringwald, Jan. 15 at 8:30PM & Jan. 16 at 7PM:
On Broadway, audiences have embraced her as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, as well as in Enchanted April and Modern Orthodox. Off-Broadway, she received rave notices for her work in Jonathan Larson's tick, tick... BOOM! and Paula Vogel's How I Learned to Drive, and she toured the country as Charity Hope Valentine in the Broadway National Tour of Sweet Charity. Now, join Broadway leading lady and icon of the 1980s Molly Ringwald for a musical tour de force, accompanied by The Peter Smith Trio. Television audiences remember Molly from Diff'rent Strokes and the subsequent spin-off, The Facts of Life. Turning toward motion pictures, she found her breakout role in Sixteen Candles. Some of Ringwald's most famous films include The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. Currently, Ringwald stars in the ABC Family network series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. BACKSTAGE, Jan. 15 at 10:30PM:
Each week, Broadway cast members and audiences alike gather to mix and mingle at 54 Below, Broadway's most intimate haunt, located in the heart of the theatre district. Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Susie Mosher (the love child of Joanne Worley & Paul Lynde) guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting. Special guests from hit Broadway shows drop in to perform and answer the question on everyone's minds, "what happened in each week to sing everything from Schwartz to Sondheim. You might even get up and sing yourself if you're feeling brave, or brave, or relax with a cocktail and some sliders - the night belongs to you! NPR had this to say "The best thing happening right now might just be the weekly Backstage. Hosted by the ridiculously funny Susie Mosher and pianist Brad Simmons who clearly is the man, it's two feel-good hours among New York's theater people, who seem like they're having a really fine time. Her new show, Hi!, is an arousing, if not mind-altering hour of meticulously chosen musical and comedic vignettes from Amber's strange and fascinating toy box of characters. Blending music, raunch, stories, movement and acid-capped comedy with a pristine, multi-octave solo singing voice, Amber has seasoned her previous performances with rotating celebrity collaborators Bridget Everett, Justin VivIan Bond, Casey Spooner, John Cameron Mitchell, Jake Shears and Karen Black, to name a few. BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! 54 Below is delighted to re-welcome Andrea McArdle for three very special performances of the show that knocked audiences in the aisle when she debuted it with us in the summer of 2012. Broadway began its love affair with Andrea in 1977 when, at the age of twelve, she created the iconic role of Little Orphan Annie in the smash musical hit Annie. Since then, she's delighted New York audiences in Les Miserables, Starlight Express, Beauty and the Beast, and State Fair, along the way tackling concerts, recordings, film, and television. Michael Cerveris & LOOSE CATTLE, Jan. 18 at 11PM:
Come join the herd after the curtain comes down in the theatre district as Michael stampedes uptown with the cattle, straight from his fancy Broadway day job. 54 Below is delighted to welcome back Broadway's own Michael Cerveris for four very special performances only, featuring him and his band, the magnificent Loose Cattle. Broadway was introduced to Michael in The Who's Tommy. Since then, audiences have embraced him in leading roles in Titanic, Assassins (Tony Award!), Sweeney Todd, Lovemusik, and, among others, his current Tony-nominated performance as Juan Peron in Evita. Alexander Sage Oyen, Jan. 19 at 11PM:
Hot off the release of his new album, Drafts (Volume One), Alexander Sage Oyen is bringing his songs to 54 Below. Come hear some incredible Broadway talent and some brand new tunes! Alexander is a new musical theatre composer/lyricist and performer. His musicals include Dachau (written with Christopher Metz) and Rebel Verses, which premiered recently in NYC. Other theatrical credits as a performer include Sweeney Todd (opposite Faith Prince and Davis Gaines). As a kid, he was seen rocking it out on VH1's In Search of Danny Partridge (coming in third!) David Friedman, Jan. 20 at 6:30PM:
54 Below is delighted to welcome prolific composer David Friedman to our stage. Well known for compositions such as We Can Be Kind, Listen to My Heart, We Live on Borrowed Time and Help is on the Way, David wrote much of the music and produced all of the celebrated recordings of the late Nancy Lamott. His music has also been recorded by the likes of Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark, Lucie Arnaz and Leslie Uggams, among many others. This January, David brings a celebration of his own treasured tunes to 54 Below, in anticipation of his soon to be released solo recordings. Cover charge $25-35. $25 food & beverage minimum.

NOT AT THIS PERFORMANCE, Jan. 20 at 9:30PM:
Many performers understudy lead roles and rehearse weekly, preparing for their moment in the spotlight. But what if their moment never arrives? Not At This Performance features those understudies finally playing those roles for a live audience. Featuring music from Glory Days, Catch Me If You Can, Godspell and more, the concert stars Jake Boyd (Carrie, Rock of Ages), Alex Brightman (Wicked, Glory Days), Hannah Elless (Godspell, Mamma Mia), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Hands on a Hard Body, Catch Me if You Can), Eric Michael Krop (Godpell), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hard Body, Godspell) and Elly Noble (Carrie) with more performers to be announced at a later date.
