GODFREY JOHNSON IN CABARET is the perfect end of year show. Starring Godfrey Johnson and Nicholas "Magic Fingers" McDiarmid, the show features the songs of Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, Madonna, Kermit the Frog and many more. A show filled with satirical madness and musical mastery, Johnson and McDiarmid perform mind-blowing and hilarious duets, with a bit of everything from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Francis Poulenc.
Johnson is a multi-award winning artist who has performed all over the world. He has performed over twenty solo shows. His most recent shows include VASLAV and JOHNSON UNZIPPED. In 2015, Johnson was nominated for three Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards for his work in VASLAV, which was written by Karen Jeynes and directed by Lara Bye. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Musical, Best Performance in a Revue, Cabaret or One-person Show, and Best Sound Design, Music Composition or Original Score.
McDiarmid is a sought-after pianist who performed Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of nineteen. He has performed with numerous chamber groups and is a popular accompanist.
GODFREY JOHNSON IN CABARET runs from 1 - 2 December at 21:00 nightly.
