Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "The Songs of Joshua Stackhouse: You've Probably Never Heard of Him, But..." on February 10th, 2017.

No, he hasn't written anything you know. No, he doesn't have millions of followers on Twitter. No, he isn't related to Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood -- seriously, stop asking. And yet despite all this, his melodies are catchy, his rhymes are brilliant, and we just know he's going to premiere a great show!

Although not yet a household name, Stackhouse has been busy getting pieces performed in Chicago, Vancouver, and even here in New York -- where things actually matter. And behind the scenes, our guy has honed his craft under the tutelage of Andrew Lippa ("Writer's Bloc" workshop), Michael John LaChiusa ("InTune" workshop) and Jeff Blumenkrantz who has described Stackhouse's work as "very tuneful and well-written"!

Michael Feinstein himself liked Ol' Josh's music so much he said this: "Joshua Stackhouse combines feeling, finesse, and fun in equal measure. You'll be entertained so thoroughly that it might take a while to realize you've also been moved, instructed, and even inspired."

The show will feature a roster brimming with young talents including George Salazar, Rachel Flynn, Jared Loftin, Caitlin Donohue, Elijah Caldwell, Matt DaSilva, Latoya Edwards, Jonathan Furedy, Reji Woods, Jonathan Stevens, and Lena Dabrusin. Madeline Smith, the youngest woman (ever!) to conduct a Broadway orchestra, will serve as Music Director for the show.

You're probably thinking: "I don't know, this all sounds like hype." Look, all we're saying is that those of us who have heard his stuff agree: bet your biscuits, this kid's got the sauce. We know you've never heard of him, but...

Joshua Stackhouse is a Canadian-American composer-lyricist from Vancouver, BC. He attended the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music where he received a bachelor's degree in music composition. Stackhouse began his professional career in his hometown where he musical-directed in several shows for local production companies like Awkward Stage Productions and Studio 58, while local performers performed Stackhouse' work in cabarets. Since relocating to New York City, Stackhouse has been honing his craft under the guidance of composers such as Andrew Lippa and Michael John LaChiusa, while having original pieces performed on the stages of Don't Tell Mama and Feinstein's/54 Below. Stackhouse is an intelligent and funny up-and-comer who's work has impressed the likes of Jeff Blumenkrantz, John Bucchino, and Michael Feinstein who said "Joshua Stackhouse combines feeling, finesse, and fun in equal measure. You'll be entertained so thoroughly that it might take a while to realize you've also been moved, instructed, and even inspired."
