The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) today announced their 2008 benefit gala, "With a Song in Our Heart," to be held on Monday, April 14 from 6-9:30PM at the elegant Warwick Hotel.

The award-winning Host, TV/Radio Personality, Comedian and Interviewer Scott Nevins will lead the evening with his signature humor and flare. With entertainment by Broadway notables including Ann Hampton Callaway (Broadway: Swing!; composed and sang theme to "The Nanny"), Liz McCartney (Broadway: Mamma Mia!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Taboo, Dance of the Vampires, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables) and the Tony-nominated Sharon McNight, the gala will be a night celebrating music, diversity and support for the LGBT community. The honorary host committee includes such famed LGBT supporters as Cyndi Lauper, Charles Busch, Harvey Fierstein, Kelli O'Hara, Roberta Peters, Karen Ziemba and Elaine Stritch.

At the heart of this evening, the NYCGMC honors longtime Chorus friend and pinnacle supporter Norman Hanson, and to R Family Vacations founders Gregg Kaminsky and Kelli O'Donnell, recognizing their generosity and loyalty over the years.

The centerpiece of the event will be NYCGMC's first ever "Trilogy Auction." The auction, featuring outstanding items from travel, to cuisine, to art, will happen in three phases. Beginning three weeks prior to the gala, benefactors can bid online at www.withasonginourheart.cmarket.com. Once at the Warwick Hotel, guests will be able to bid during both a silent auction as well as the larger-than-life live auction conducted by Nevins.

Auction items include:
•    Grab the Baton – an opportunity to conduct the New York City Gay Men's Chorus for one number during the holiday concert, 2008, at Carnegie Hall!
•    2 tickets to Gypsy (row B), dinner, and a meet and greet after the show with Patti LuPone
•    2 tickets to Young Frankenstein, dinner, and a meet and greet after the show with Megan Mullally
•    A 5 night stay in St. Croix with airfare

The Warwick Hotel is located at 65 W 54th St, between 5th & 6th. Tickets to the event are $100. For more information and tickets, please visit www.nycgmc.org
