Feinstein's/54 Below presents "New Writers at 54: Songs by Julia Meinwald & Gordon Leary" on Sunday, July 30. Julia and Gordon write aggressively empathetic musicals. In the tradition of their shows Pregnancy Pact (Weston Playhouse, 2012) and The Loneliest Girl in the World (Diversionary Theatre, 2018), their three newest musicals explore unlikely (and sometimes unlikeable) characters behaving badly.

The evening will feature performances by Delaney Amatrudo, Ally Bonino (Myths & Hymns), Sojourner Brown, Max Chernin (Bright Star), Molly Hager (Waitress), Sam Heldt (The Loneliest Girl in the World), Emily Jenda (The Bodyguard, The Book of Mormon), Marina Kondo (MUNY's The Little Mermaid), Kelsey Lake, Amy Linden (The Bridges of Madison County), Ellen Condon Macy, Evan Maltby, Allison Posner, Allie Sandler, Libby Servais (Wicked, Lysistrata Jones), Johnny Shea (Deathless), Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening, Kung Fu), and Allie Trimm (13, Bye Bye Birdie), with music direction by Rich Silverstein.

"New Writers at 54" is a summer series at Feinstein's/54 Below showcasing exciting work by today's hottest emerging voices, curated by Creative and Programming Director Jennifer Ashely Tepper.

"New Writers at 54: Songs by Julia Meinwald & Gordon Leary" plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Sunday, July 30 at 7:00pm. There is a $25 to $60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at 54Below.com/NewWriters.
