Sexy cabaret Forbidden Kiss LIVE, the monthly show at Stage Left Studio, comes around again this Saturday, February 18, 8:00 pm.

Now in its sixth year, the variety event features a regular pool of writers, performers, vocalists, and burlesque acts. It's erotica with a twist - sketches, songs, spoken word, and full-on hot and steamy monologues.

Hosted by Cheryl King, Forbidden Kiss LIVE was dubbed “Sexiest NYC Cabaret” by Village Voice. “I’m proud of that title, but we don’t rest on our gorgeous laurels with this show. My cast continues to amaze me, lifting the bar every month,” says King.

Show host King has been shaping the show for years, handpicking artists and creating original material of her own. “I’m most excited about our new naughty nurse sketch.” Using “play doctor” as her launching pad, King has written and directed a vaudeville scene that includes Corwin, Elza Zagreda as the nurse, and Stage Left Studio regular Frank Blocker. “Frank has been doing some incredible work with songs these past few months for the show. So I wanted to remind him that he’s my trusty comedian as well.”

Blocker’s solo show Stabilized, Not Controlled opens February 26, Sunday at 5:00 pm.

Parker Leventer has opened the last few shows with an address to the audience revealing her provocative and cosmopolitan past while snagging someone from the audience for her own personal use. Morgan Brett Lee’s medley of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”/”Hot4Teacher” imagines the second job of an elementary instructor. Tom Gualtieri, currently starring in the audience favorite show Bait ‘n Swish will return to Forbidden Kiss LIVE with a gender-bending monologue. Gaby Gold will offer an original song performance and Valerie Hager makes her Kiss debut in this Saturday’s show.

Stage Left Studio is home to many solo shows and performers, but also caters to small plays and is equipped for cabaret. New York theatre goers can enjoy Forbidden Kiss LIVE for $20.
