'FIERCE FEMALES' Concert to Combat Ovarian Cancer at the Met Room, 4/18

"Fierce Females" is a one night only benefit concert, to raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer research. The concert will feature Broadway alumni, as well as other talented vocalists singing powerful songs written and or originally performed by "FIERCE" women.

"Termed 'the silent killer,' ovarian cancer continues to be the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers, affecting 1 in 72 women in their lifetime.The symptoms can be vague, and mimic those of unrelated conditions. As a result, most cases are diagnosed in later stages of the disease when the prognosis is poor." "Fierce Females" is sure to be a night of awareness, and empowerment.

Songs by Whitney Houston, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Paramore, Dolly Parton, Jessie J. and more are set to be performed at the event.

The cast for the 11:30 (doors open at 11:00) show will feature Alexis Acar (PANIC! The Musical , Washington National Opera, Q&A : The Musical, Punk Goes Below) , Liz Byrne ( B'way Baby It's You) , Chris Gornes, Peter Klein, Tatiana Lima, Brady Loomer (PANIC! The Musical), Zakk Mannella, Natalie Ortega, Ruby Rakos (B'way Billy Elliot, Chasing Rainbows), Rachael Robertson, and debuting FANCY as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

The show will be directed by Alexis Acar, with Music Direction by Austin Taylor Zudeck ( MD for Skyline Legacy Summer Tour w/ Primary Wave Management, Song­writer for various national commercial campaigns including Mountain Dew, Writer / Produce for upcoming artist Malcolm­Ali Davis ) , and additional Music Direction by Andrew Fois.

"Fierce Females: Belting To Beat Ovarian Cancer" plays Metropolitan Room on Saturday April 18th at 11:30pm (11:00pm doors open). Cover charges start at $22.50 with a two beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at metropolitanroom.com or by calling 212.206.0440.
