Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Bryan Fenkart in a return engagement on February, 28 at 9:30pm. Fenkart will be joined by special guests F. Michael Haynie (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Sydney Morton (American Psycho) and Ephraim Sykes (Hairspray Live, Hamilton).
Fenkart has been seen on stage as Huey in Memphis on Broadway and in the world premieres of Billy Joe Armstrong's These Paper Bullets, Sheryl Crow's Diner and Off-Broadway's Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story. Bryan is a recording artist and has released two full length albums; his most recent single, "We Are," features Daniel J. Watts and was released in August 2015. The concert will feature selections from Fenkart's albums, new material and some of his favorite covers.
Bryan's albums, "Imperfect Man" and "Simple and Grey" were released in 2005 and 2012, respectively. Inspired by the sounds of Billy Joel, John Mayer, Sara Bareilles and Coldplay, among others, Bryan's music has a pop rock sensibility, distinguished by his clever, lush arrangements and unique storytelling. In an uncertain political climate, when words and numbers seem to mean less and less, and facts have become somehow debatable, Bryan Fenkart takes the stage to remind us that the deepest truths can still be found in songs. Bryan and his rogue band of special guests guide you on a deeply personal journey through the only "reality" that matters anymore--our own. Sometimes sad, sometimes snarky, always accessible, Bryan and the gang will pack your ears with heartfelt original tunes, punctuated by the occasional cover, for freshness. Part escapism. Part wake-up call. All true.
