Singer Eva Kantor is making her solo debut in "The Way I Am," directed by Eric Michael Gillett at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Remaining shows are three Sundays, April 7, 14, and 21 at 7pm.

Ward Morehouse lll will interview Eva Kantor his TV show Broadway After Dark. It airs Monday, April 15 from 7:00 - 7:30 PM on Time Warner Channel 56 or on the Internet at MNN.org Channel 2/Lifestyle.

Morehouse, a former Broadway columnist with the New York Post and The New York Sun, edited the popular Broadway After Dark website for several years before writing for Black Tie Magazine and his TV show.

"In a world full of people who judge you and your choices, you need to find the one person who accepts you the way you are." That is the theme of this show, Eva Kantor's solo debut in cabaret, but in Eva's professional life, she is finding many people accepting of her great talent. It is not a cliché to say that she is an artist on her way up.

In addition to placing in the MetroStar finals, Eva has recently played at The Players Club for KT Sullivan and the Mabel Mercer Foundation to great acclaim. Out of that, she was asked to sing at Rose Hall in October at the Mercer Cabaret Convention.

Eva began acting at an early age and quickly excelled. She has played roles such as Eva Peron in Evita, Penny in Hairspray at the Weston Playhouse alongside Broadway veterans Marissa Perry and Jay A. Johnson, and the title role in the national tour of Nancy Ford and Gretchen Cryer's Anne of Green Gables.

She is a recipient of the first ever fully funded scholarship at the Singer's Forum/Actor's Equity scholarship program, where she is currently studying with Eric Michael Gillett.
