Honeck-Moss Productions is proud to present "In The Works." This exciting series is in it's second season was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.
In The Works is presented monthly and feature three composers or composer teams, each presenting about 20 minutes of new material. This month, Sunday May 20th at 9:30pm features the works of composers: Clare Cooper & Bryan Leyes, Amanda D'Archangelis and Michael Holland. Hosted by: Thomas Honeck.

Clare Cooper is a singer/songwriter/keyboardist who performs as a solo artist, band member and musical director. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the New School's Creative Arts Therapy program, she is an award-winning songwriter with two CDs, "Northern Drive" and "Valentine." She is the composer of musical comedy "How To Marry A Divorced Man" with book and lyrics by Bryan Leys. Theater credits include "Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding," "Jaws! The Musical," 2014 Fringe Festival favorite "Urban Momfare," and "Memphis." TV credits include "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and AMC's "Into Character." She has been musical director/arranger for cabaret shows at Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, Rose's Turn, The Triad and Laurie Beechman Theater, and is keyboardist of country band Miss Babs and the Kickin' Boogie Band
Bryan D. Leys provided the book and lyrics for Hell's Belles (Off-Broadway 2015); Acting, the First Six Lessons (TRU Voices New Musicals selection); The Union & Crystal Ann McKay (Audience Favorite Award, Barter Theater Appalachian Festival) and TRU New Musical Voices, Feb 2018; How to Marry a Divorced Man; Kid Dakota; Vienna; The Forgotten Film of Dorian Gray (Michael Stewart Award winner); Fortune and Fate. Bryan's plays include Moonshadow (TRU Voices New Plays selection);The Second Life of Gideon Finn; A Long Night in The Short Reign of Didius Julianus; The Drama Départment and Shakespeare in Bermuda.
New works include the musicals Argentina Rumpus, Gabriel, Blow Your Horn; and La Ribalta (The Spotlight) and plays Nowhere and Other Women. BFA in Drama; MFA in Playwriting and Directing.
AMANDA D'ARCHARNGELIS is a composer and actress in NYC. She is in the renowned BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. With Anderson Cook, she has written; The Disembodied Hand That Fisted Everyone to Death- The Musical! and Blatantly Blaine- A "Family" Musical. She is the resident composer of Bluelaces Theater Company, which provides theater and outreach for people with developmental differences. With Sami Horneff and Lisa Mongillo, she wrote The Radium Girls: A Jaw-Dropping New Musical. She also arranges and writes music for many other people and projects. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory.
Michael Holland is a composer/lyricist/orchestrator/music director/guitarist/ keyboardist/singer - basically, when the phone rings, he says yes. As composer/lyricist, shows include Horizon Line (NEXT Festival 2014; in development with Theatre Latté Da, Minneapolis), You're Gonna Hate This (54 Below, 2017, Joe's Pub 2013; in development), Hurricane (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2009), and a few he doesn't want to talk about yet. He was the orchestrator/vocal arranger for the 2011 Broadway revival of Godspell, as well as one of the producers of the cast recording. Recent orchestration credits include Emma! A Pop musical for Stageworks (2015), Disco Party and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever for Playscripts (both 2016). He has composed incidental music for The Alley Theatre, Bay Street Theater, Bucks County Playhouse, The Old Globe, Playwrights Horizons, Dallas Theatre Center, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Juilliard, and NYU Tisch. From 2001-2013, he was a performer/musical director/arranger of the multi-award winning NYC favorite Gashole! - an irreverent, pop music mashup cabaret. Recordings include four solo CDs of original music, as well as the world premiere of "Another Day in the Modern World" on The Maury Yeston Songbook (ps classics). Upcoming: Clue On Stage (original score, Cape Playhouse, August 2018; U.S. Tour, 2019); The Great Gatsby (incidental music, Bay Street Theater); You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (music direction/new orchestrations, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, spring 2019).
