Doug Plaut (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Preppie Connection) has joined tonight's cast of Villain: DeBlanks SPACE HOLE! at The Triad NYC. Previously announced Eric Ulloa has had to withdraw due to illness.
Plaut will share the stage with teh beautifully brilliant Brenda Braxton ("Smokey Joe's," "Chicago"), unpredictably clever Marc Kudisch ("Hand to God," "9 to 5"), Tony-winning funny lady Randy Graff ("City of Angels," Broadway's original Fantine in "LES MISERABLES"), wonderfully cunning Nancy Opel ("Honeymoon in Vegas," "Toxic Avenger"), and the multi-talented Kelvin Moon Loh ("The King & I," upcoming "Spongebob Squarepants"). Joining the fun as the "special media guest" will be Michael Riedel, New York Post theatre columnist and co-host of the long-running "Theater Talk" on PBS.
A Time Out NY Critics' Pick written by Billy Mitchell, "Villain: DeBlanks" is the uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs-uncensored and unrehearsed-as they enact the deep-space adventures of Captain Zabitsh and her crew. It's adult "Mad Libs" meets "Spaceballs" meets "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" -- and it's never the same show twice!
"Brenda Braxton presents Villain: DeBlanks" plays The Triad (158 W 72nd St.) on Sunday, April 3 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25, and there is a 2-drink minimum. For more information, visit villaindeblanks.com.
Presented in association with La Vie Productions/R.Erin Craig.
