Dixon Place Presents Anna Watts' New Play TWO IS A PRIME NUMBER  Image

TWO IS A PRIME NUMBER, a new play written and directed by Anna Watts, will be presented by Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street) for one night only on Friday March 22nd. This universal story deals with the things we cannot define that bring two people together. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door for general admission and $12 in advance, $15 at the door for students and seniors. A two person love story told through movement and poetry by four performers which speaks to people of any gender or ethnicity, TWO IS A PRIME NUMBER illuminates what it means to fall in and out of love and what it means to be in love with someone who may be completely wrong for you.

Anna Watts is a New York based theater artist. She is a gymnast and rock climber, and her love for physical activity comes out in her energetic writing. Her other plays include Stalling, which has been performed at Hofstra University, NYC Winterfest, and Theater for the New City, and Plowing Through which has had a reading at Theater for the New City. annawattsnyc.com

Featured in the cast in TWO IS A PRIME NUMBER are Maia Bair, Alex Lewis, Juan Villar-Ojito and Alex Taylor. The production is designed is by Anna Watts. Alex Lewis curated the music and is the assistant sound designer; Maia Baird is the assistant costume designer and Rob Lariviere is production manager.

The Dixon Place Lounge is open before and after the show. Proceeds from the bar directly support Dixon Place's artists and mission.

Dixon Place is located at 161A Chrystie Street (between Rivington and Delancey), in Manhattan's Lower East Side (By subway: B/D to Grand, F to 2nd Ave, J/Z to Bowery, 6 to Spring St, M to Essex St).
