Amphibian Stage Productions opens the first offering in its new Amphibian Cabaret Series, Nobody's Hart: Diana Sheehan Sings the Lyrics of Lorenz Hart, this week at the company's home on South Main Street. Created and performed by Diana Sheehan, with musical direction, arrangements, and piano by James McQuillen, cello by Sarah Choi, and music by Richard Rodgers, this cabaret performance will run Thursday, September 12 through Sunday, September 15.

Creator and performer Diana Sheehan debuted the cabaret at Sammons Center for the Arts in Dallas in the fall of 2012 and subsequently performed the show to sold-out houses at the 2013 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, where it was a "Best of the Loop" winner. This will be the first presentation of the show in Fort Worth.

In Nobody's Hart, Diana Sheehan pairs her unparalleled vocal talent with the lyrics of Lorenz Hart in this cabaret tribute to the legendary lyricist. As half of the songwriting duo Rodgers and Hart, Lorenz Hart penned the lyrics to some of Broadway's most memorable musicals, including Babes in Arms, The Boys from Syracuse, and Pal Joey. Over the course of this intimate musical evening, Diana Sheehan takes audiences on a journey through the popular work of Hart, as well as his troubled private life, shining a light on one of the great innovators of the American musical.

Nobody's Hart: Diana Sheehan Sings the Lyrics of Lorenz Hart will run Thursday, September 12 through Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Amphibian Stage Productions. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., and the Sunday matinee begins at 2 p.m. For general admission seating, adult tickets are $25, senior tickets are $20, and student tickets are $15.
