Tonight, February 18th, the Tea Lounge will host Daniel Smith's ‘BASSOON AND BEYOND' Jazz Quartet, featuring Daniel Smith on bassoon, Lafayette Harris on piano, Michael O'Brien on bass, and Chris Carroll on drums.

A ground-breaking all-blues album by virtuoso bassoonist Daniel Smith with his jazz quartet covering a wide range of styles ranging from early blues to contemporary. Features 11 tracks with blues pieces by Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley, Charlie Parker, Mercer Ellington, Joe Zawinul, Charlie Mingus, George Shearing, Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane and Lee Morgan..... plus two bonus tracks featuring early blues pieces of Robert Johnson and B B King and showcasing Bob Dylan guitarist Larry Campbell as 'special guest artist'.
