Some of New York's finest talents will appear to support the Society of Singers Chapter East on Sunday, January 20 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
The evening, which seeks to showcase the talents of rising performers and writers, will feature David Austin (I Love You Because, Rags In Concert), Tiana Checchia (Grease tour), Jaclyn Huberman (Broadway Idol 2006, I Love You Because), Jay A. Johnson (Next Thing You Know), and Adam Overett (The Light in the Piazza). Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham (I Love You Because) will be the guest composer and lyricist, respectively, for the concert. Show time is 7 PM.
The SPOTLIGHT Cabaret series is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and will be seen at the Beechman monthly through May. Future guest writers will include Joe Iconis (February, directed by John Simpkins), Julianne Wick Davis (March, directed by Joe Barros), Kirsten A. Guenther (April, directed by Ryan Mekenian), and Danny Larsen (May, directed by Michelle Eliot). Laurence O'Keefe, Katie Thompson, The Dreams, and GuyTunes are among the list of those set to appear throughout the inaugural season.
