Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, the popular husband and wife team whose recent individual CDs earned them equal respect in both the pop and jazz worlds, will present their first joint extended New York engagement at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NYC from March 3rd through March 15th. The evening, called "WRAP YOUR TROUBLES IN DREAMS" celebrates the inspiration, strength and wit of our unique American songs to move us through these changing times. Accompanied by a rhythm section, Barbara and Eric will perform songs by Laura Nyro, Richard Whiting, Harry Warren, Paul Simon, Arthur Schwartz, Dorothy Fields and Oscar Brown, Jr. among others.

Called ‘the Nick and Nora of cabaret' Comstock and Fasano received an unprecedented three 2007 MAC Awards including Best Vocal Duo, Outstanding Female Vocalist and Record of the Year (for Barbara's CD "Written in the Stars"). Their New York engagements have included
Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Algonquin's Oak Room and Birdland. They have headlined across the country at Caramoor, Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach and in festivals and performing arts centers from Philadelphia to Marin County. Comstock and Fasano just returned from two sold-out engagements at Arizona Musicfest in Phoenix.
Eric Comstock, one of the most admired performers and preservers of the American popular songbook, created and starred in the hit revues SINGING ASTAIRE, MADE FOR THE MOVIES and OUR SINATRA (over 1,300 performances Off-Broadway), He has appeared at Lincoln Center's American songbook twice in the last three years, in evenings saluting
Jule Styne and
Charles Strouse. His most recent CD "No One Knows" received unanimous praise for his jazz interpretations of songs ranging from Ellington and Strayhorn to Mercer and Harburg. His debut CD in 1998 "Young Man of Manhattan" was followed in 2000 by "All Hart", a collection of songs by Rodgers and Hart including several rarely heard or recorded songs.
Barbara Fasano, who has been hailed as one of the most stunning and soulful performers of the American songbook, balances drama with musicianship. She has also appeared in many musical theatre productions ranging from ‘Grease" and "They're Playing Our Song" to "Side By Side by Sondheim." In addition to her MAC Awards, Barbara has received three Back Stage Bistro Awards including Record of the Year for her 2007
Harold Arlen songbook "Written in the Stars" on which she collaborated with pianist John di Martino. Barbara received the same award for her debut CD "The Girls of Summer", an eclectic mix ranging from Springsteen to Sondheim, based on her one-woman show of the same title.
