Two time Emmy nominee Colleen Zenk who played Barabara Ryan on As The World Turns for 32 years is readying to premiere her new one-woman cabaret show aptly titled Colleen Zenk: LIVE! The show will debut on Friday April 8th at Bob Egan's New Hope - one of the country's leading cabaret showrooms.

Zenk, who is a two-time oral cancer survivor said "I believe the old saying that 'when one window closes, another window opens.' The end of As the WorldTurns was a great loss for me, but has given me the time to explore a lifelong dream. I have great material to draw upon and this show will give me the opportunity to sing some of my favorite songs and give the audience a glimpse into my life." For As The World Turns fans Colleen promises great stories.

Actress Colleen Zenk is best known to millions of fans as Barbara Ryan on the iconic daytime drama As the World Turns, a role she played from 1978 until the show went off the air in 2010. Her portrayal earned her Emmy Award nominations in 2002 (Outstanding Lead Actress) and 2001 (Outstanding Supporting Actress).

In addition to her show, she is the recipient of numerous humanitarian awards related to Oral Cancer and other philanthropies has been booking speaking engagements to talk about her fight with Oral Cancer, and to help promote early detection and public awareness.

In November 2010, Team Colleen - a loyal group of fans kicked off Colleen Zenk Deserves to be on Dancing With The Stars - a FaceBook campaign which has nearly 11,000 members with the numbers climbing daily.

Zenk's love of the stage began as a child in Barrington, IL, where she was enrolled in dance classes at age three and by age nine, working professionally. She was soon landing regional musical theatre roles, working as a commercial and fashion model, and training in Chicago as a dancer. She went on to study theatre at The Catholic University of America and headed to New York at age 22.

In 1978 she landed the part of Barbara on As The World Turns. During her 32 years on the show she continued to pursue her love for musical theatre and made her Broadway debut as Rosie in Bring Back Birdie, opposite Chita Rivera and Donald O'Connor, and her film debut in John Huston's adaptation of the Broadway musical Annie, Other leading stage credits include: Hello, Dolly, They're Playing Our Song, Where's Charley, Can Can, Stephen Sondheim's Follies, and Barefoot in the Park.
Colleen Zenk: LIVE! is produced by Drama Desk Award Nominee Philip Katz and Broadway Theatrical who is currently represented by John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean - the glow-in-the-dark-musical currently at New World Stages and the upcoming production of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig which will open on Broadway in April.
