Christian De Gre to Bring 'Burton-Esque' A DRINK WITH DEATH to Feinstein's/54 Below

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents 2016 New York Innovative Theater Award Nominee Christian De Gré (Fatty Fatty No Friends) and award winning company Mind The Art Entertainment (Beware the Chupacabra & Whiskey Pants: The Mayor of Williamsburg) in a dark and twisted new song cycle about the horrors and wonders of death.

Starring a macabre mix of Broadway veterans, Feinstein's/54 Below regulars and Mind The Art all stars, A Drink with Death embarks on a journey to the underworld through the eyes of the mythical Mexican ambassador of death, La Muerte. As a handful of lost souls come face to face with their own demise, they take a final shot with La Muerte en route to whatever afterlife they believe in. Hailed as "Burton-esque, funny and heartbreaking, dark and light hearted, old school yet completely modern" join in the drunken celebration of our very own mortality.

Featuring performances by: Jeff Kready (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder), Anne Tolpegin (Billy Elliot), Craig Waletzko (Kinky Boots), Harrison Chad (Caroline, or Change), Anthony Lopez (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Charly Dannis (Beware the Chupacabra), Vinnie Urdea (Fatty Fatty No Friends), Nicholas Connolly (Whiskey Pants: The Mayor of Williamsburg), Alexis Field (50 Shades the Musical), Megan Kane (God's Country) & Christian De Gré (Twisted Operettas).

Hosted by Robb Moreira (Die: Roll to Proceed) as La Muerte with musical director Christopher Gurr (Piano) and featuring Sarah Koenig-Plonskier (Violin), Sam Quiggins (Cello) & Jeffrey Hodes (Bass Clarinet). The piece created by Mind The Art Entertainment with musical compositions by Christian De Gré was collaboratively written by poets Joseph Reese Anderson, Serrana Gay, R. Patrick Alberty, Chuk Obasi, Ariana Paganetti, Alessio Cappelletti, Joe Kurtz, Michael Berberich & David Williams.

Originally from Mexico City, Christian De Gré has served as President & Artistic Director of Mind The Art Entertainment over the last nine years. A self-taught composer, Christian De Gré has written and produced 22 musicals/operettas in New York City including Fatty Fatty No Friends (2016 Innovative Theater Award Nominations for Best Music and Best Musical), Beware The Chupacabra!(FringeFAVE 2015) and Whiskey Pants: The Mayor of Williamsburg (Audience Favorite at FRIGID New York 2015.) He has been commissioned to write music for The Discovery Channel, The Possibility Project, The TE'A Project, The United Nations, The Directors Company and La Mama E.T.C. De Gré has worked alongside and in collaboration with The Drama Desk Awards, Blume Media Group, Fountain Art Fair, STAR, Cayman 27, City at Peace, Rising Art and The Mexican Cultural Institute of New York, among others. Michael Feinstein, one of the world's great musical artists, and 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, have united to give New York an unparalleled destination for entertainment and dining. Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, is the performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, Feinstein's/54 Below is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. Feinstein's/54 Below presents iconic and rising stars from the worlds of Broadway and popular music. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. Located at 254 West 54th Street, Feinstein's/54 Below features up to three shows nightly with cover charges ranging from $5-$155.

Christian De Gré: A Drink With Death plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on October 24th 2016 at 9:30pm. There is a $25-$60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.
