"I'm Every Woman" is a musical journey through love, loss and rebirth featuring an eclectic mix of pop, R&B and standards from the 1940's to the present. Her song list includes "I'm every Woman," "I Who Have Nothing," "Feeling Good," "Smile," and "Miss Independent."
Cheryl Freeman has electrified Broadway audiences as The Acid Queen in The Who's Tommy, as Vy/Vy-man in Duke Ellington's Play On, as Bessie in Frank Wildhorn's The Civil War, for which she received a Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards nomination. Off-Broadway she appeared as Ms. Sherman in Fame On 42nd Street. Cheryl can be heard on all of the above-mentioned Original Cast recordings – and the upcoming Walmartopia cast recording.
Freeman has also starred in numerous other theatrical performances Off-Broadway, regionally, and in Europe, South America and Australia. Her amazing vocal abilities are on display as the Muse Melpomene in Disney's animated feature Hercules, as well as the T.V. cartoon series. Other television credits include "New York Undercover," the NBC pilot "Prince Street," "One Life to Live" and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." Film credits include Fresh, Dear Diary, Dead Presidents, and the soon to be released Where God Left His Shoes. Her one-woman show has captivated audiences and critics alike from New York to L.A. Cheryl recently recorded the vocals for the title character in Frank Wildhorn's upcoming musical Carmen Forever.
Walmartopia, currently playing Off-Broadway at The Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane), will end its current run after the evening performance on Sunday, December 30 and plays the following performance schedule: Tuesdays through Saturdays 8PM, Sundays 7PM, with matinees on Saturdays & Sundays at 3PM.
