VOTE OR DIE, a Halloween/Election concert with the songs of Ryann Ferguson & Steven Jamail plays The Zipper Factory Theater on Oct. 28th at 10:30PM. Ryan J. Davis directs.

The week of Halloween and exactly one week before we elect a new president, Broadway's hottest young talent will join the award-winning writing team for an evening of songs from their projects VOTE!, Tercio de Muerte, Nicholas & Alexandra, and more.

Set to perform are Allison Case (Hair, Mamma Mia), Sasha Cooke (Dr. Atomic at the Met), Autumn Hurlbert (Legally Blonde), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Spelling Bee), Janet Dacal (In the Heights), Brandon Wardell (Assassins, Good Vibrations), Landon Beard (Altar Boyz), Vanessa Ray (Spelling Bee), Dani Spieler (Legally Blonde), Jake Wilson (The Battery's Down), Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee), Celisse Henderson (Wicked), Tracy Weiler, Matt Skrincosky, and Molly Rosenberger.

Rice University Alumni and co-collaborators Ryann Ferguson & Steven Jamail (of 2005 Fringe Festival's Byzantium and Harper's Guild Award Winners for Best Aria, "Lotus Song") come from intensive theatre backgrounds ranging from production, to marketing, to lighting design, and composition, collectively. With successful experiences both together and apart, the two recently premiered their new musical, VOTE! in a private, industry-only reading, directed by Ryan J. Davis. The duo again team up with Davis, for this one night only concert with partial proceeds going to benefit Rock the Vote.

VOTE! is a new musical about high school election espionage and the pursuit of a real dream that "counts," as told by four ambitious youngsters and their teacher. The race forces them to consider the meaning and power of an individual vote and why they are really running (a timely coincidence, given that it dovetails with one of our most diverse and arguably important political seasons to date). VOTE! delivers an exciting outlet for all of us to consider what we're voting for and who's really behind the faces of a given candidacy.
