Caron Wheeler To Perform at 'Caribbean Week' in New York 6/6 -6/12.

'Rum and Rhythm' takes place on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Roseland Ballroom 239 West 52nd Street (Between Broadway & Eighth Avenue) in New York City

'Rum and Rhythm' combines everything that is culturally unique and appealing about the Caribbean: Caribbean Chefs Entertainers Rum Aficionados Tourism Industry Professionals. The event will start and end with a steel band performance. There will be musical entertainment from several genres, including two-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Caron Wheeler of Soul II Soul fame. Guests will sample award-winning Caribbean rums, Caribbean cuisine, and rum-infused delicacies prepared by Celebrity Chefs from the Dutch, English, French and Spanish Caribbean. The event will benefit the Caribbean Tourism Organization's charities - the CTO Foundation and the CTO Relief Fund.

Caron Wheeler, two-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter of Soul II Soul fame, will participate in this year's 'Caribbean Week' in New York. Caron Wheeler has been involved with music, international causes and concerns for well over twenty years. Caron Wheeler, a New Yorker born in London to Jamaican parents, is quite involved in global communities and cultures. Caron Wheeler is also a producer, advocate, and humanitarian who lives to effectuate change.
Caron Wheeler is the singular voice that captivated the world with her performances of the Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum "Keep On Movin" and "Back to Life".
