Carole Demas, star of TV's The Magic Garden and the original Sandy in Broadway's Grease, will perform two encore performances of her critically-acclaimed show Summer Nights at New York City's Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street. The event will include a rare reunion performance by Demas and her Magic Garden co-star, Paula Janis, as well as performances by Ilene Kristen (Grease's original Patty Simcox) and Josh Franklin (Danny Zuco in the recent Grease national tour).

Tickets are current on sale for 7pm performances on October 13 and October 27, 2010. For reservations, call (212) 695-6909 or visit www.beechmantheatre.com.

Summer Nights features eclectic music from an eclectic life, including songs from classic rock and pop to Broadway, the Great American Songbook, The Magic Garden and more. Not your typical "first I did this, then I did this" autobiography, Summer Nights is an unpredictable insider's glimpse into Demas' whirlwind career, from her early days as a contestant in the Miss Universe Pageant to her creation of the iconic roles of Sandy in the Broadway blockbuster Grease and the title role in Stephen Schwartz's The Baker's Wife to her starring role on TV's The Magic Garden, which ran for twelve years on WPIX and is considered one of the most successful shows in the history of children's television.

Summer Nights features performances by music director Ian Herman on piano and Sean Harkness on guitar. The concert is directed by Charles Repole.

Demas' additional credits include the PBS special Showstoppers: The Best of Broadway, a two-year stint as Luisa in The Fantasticks, performances in the Lido Show at the Las Vegas Stardust, numerous charity events and over 200 TV commercials. She appeared on Broadway in A Race of Hairy Men and Off Broadway in How to Steal an Election, Rondelay, Morning Sun, Philemon and for three seasons with the New York Shakespeare Festival. Other television work includes As the World Turns, One Life to Live and more than a dozen other series. Film credits include The Space Works and The 300 Year Weekend. Regional and touring credits include Corrie in Barefoot in the Park, Wanda in Enter Laughing, Joanna in Absence of a Cello, Angel in Celebration, Regina in Another Part of the Forest, Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and multiple roles in Oh, What A Lovely War. Her career has been highlighted in books by Schirmer, Citadel and Applause.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located inside the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. Tickets are $25 plus a $15 food/drink minimum. A full dinner menu is available. For information or reservations, call (212) 695-6909.
